Chris- It should be mentioned here that I think it's worth the extra time (while you are building, and before the bulkheads are assembled) to slightly elongate/taper the chassis cutouts around the front and rear pulleys. You want to bevel to topside of the chassis cutouts (for the front-rearwards; and for the back-forward) just a little so that when you run your diffs in the low position, the drive belt has no contact/friction on the chassis surface. Also, depending on the size spur gear you plan to run, you may want to modify the chassis at the spur gear area if you want to run a 64p spur taller than a 130 tooth. Good luck.

So, can anyone enlighten me into any hints or tips on the build, what to purchase for it, a good source for setups etc etc...

Cheers
Also you could do with grinding down the axels by about 3mm (1/8'') so as not to catch them on the boards etc.
Personally i have now done away with the JR links as this car does not need to stay flatter on the front as did the old car, that way you can get a hell of lot more corner speed with the 'R'
If you want a setup for rubber on ashfelt, please ask away and I will forward to anyone that wants it

Why would you need rebuilds already, these diffs 'R' the muts nuts, and shouldny need too be replaced for some considerable time, just strip them down and rebuild them

Hmm, it looks like we may get enough guys together to do some asphalt around here. Anybody mind reposting some of the "hot" asphalt setups that have come about recently? I guess I need to build that second kit and get ready.

I got my second car on the way and I don't even have to build it.

From earlier this morning... Post #3895

A6532 - Turnbuckles (2 come in a pack)
A6017 - Ball Cups (Plenty in a pack)
A6007 - Ball Studs (Set of 4 - long thread/short neck)

It's the same setup as the original JRXS front upper camber link. I don't think the overall car setup will change much, if at all.
