Haha i just read my own comment on this and was about to use it in a new one.
I have without even remembering that this car would come as a RWD tourer buildt my own Rwd Touring car out of a T1 FK05. was so much fun. Without the spool it was nice to pick the line i wanted.
I like the layout on this sabre if its so front heavy as a RWD car too.
Because i found that my own car got to rear heavy with same tires front and back. If i could work the front tires more so it becomes more understeery i think it would be better.
I tuned down my 500Watt motor to 45% on a small indoor track. It was managable.
Low grip track. carpet.
1203grams 7XXgrams at the rear. so quite a bit rear heavy.

Setup
Hi All
Does anyone have a setup for the sabre
Ran mine yesterday and was really taily off power. I also found using the u-pro diff with standard oil in it made it way worse and ideas and help would be great

Groomie,
Try softening the rear springs and possibly standing up the rear shocks. The other option is to run softer rear tyres whilst testing.
You should send a PM to Jeff or Rod asking what they are using. For TITC you will require the speed gear set.

I have fixed my FF and it works very well at Penrith and Whalan. It just did not like the TITC tyres front and rear. I think getting to the track early,(RC Addict) and testing with goop might fix the issue.
It would pay to have swaybar sets and softer springs for car tuning.

I can not say I have had great success with the u-pro oil gear diff. I would be stocking some spares if I was you. Not being negative, but used it in TC and then modified one for a mini, did not last long before stripping the internals.
RC Addict is very high grip, so there will be alot of strain on the oil gear diff.
I also forgot to add you can change rear roll centres, trackwdith etc to get more rear grip. You also have to change the way you drive when running a FWD car, certainly not the same as a TC.

I have the ball diff in the car at the moment and it was getting good drive out of the corner. Will try some gear diffs later on.

Ive heard that a 3Racing M05/M06 gear diff fits straight in with 42-43mm axles 
Something with the rear end geometry is just wrong, soft springs, soft oil, and lay them over should give some more rear bite. The car is just so much stiffer in the ass than it should be.

Bradd,
Here at home we are all using softer rear tyres.
As you have said though, running a softer rear end will get you the extra grip. Just takes practice and testing different things. The only problem is when you get to TITC you will have to start again, as the tracks are so different from here and running same tyres front and rear.

Thats where i run into problems every year at TITC, the grippy conditions turn everything upside down.

Well you will not be lonely. That is why I am arriving early, so I can test as many different settings as I can. Then when the grip level becomes insane I will be back to square one again.
Thanks for the info on the 3Racing MO5/MO6 oil gear diff. I wonder if I should get around to building one of the Sabres in the cupboard or see if I should sell teh kit as spares.
