not that easy to find info on the car...
Could someone point me toward a place that sells them at a good price ?
Also the manual can't be downloaded from the top site, where could I find it ?
If there are some forums that gather info other than this one, a link would be nice, thanks !

This seems to be a rather quiet thread. Sad. I own a Sabre FD and absolutely love it. Since buying it in April my FF03 has turned into little more than a display model. Just wondering if anyone else here has tried both cars and has any comments.
Also, over here in Malaysia the FF touring class has its first race in 2 months and I'm taking part. We have to run a controlled ESC and 17.5T motor with zero timing. Am struggling to get the final drive down in the 3.2 to 3.3 range. I've looked everywhere and can't seem to get anything larger than a 29T pinion. HELP!

Odpurple,
The problem I have is that the track I race at here needs me to run an FDR of around 3.2 or else I can't keep up with the FF03s. It's a bit of a bugger really coz there is a race coming up in a month or so and I'm the only FD in the class. Everyone else is running FF03s so keeping up might be a challenge. I've looked All over and not
A aged to get the HPI pinions here. :-(

Tower Hobbies sells the HPI pinions, not sure if they ship to Malaysia, but some Hong Kong dealers sell them no doubt. You won't need a big pinion with the 3R gearset though.
Without the speed advantage the FF03s don't stand a chance against the Sabre FD.

I managed to get hold oh the Ride fast gear set. I'm told it's similar to the 3R offering. Fitted it and ran a few laps around my local track just now. Wow! The sucker really flies now! Running with the 35 T spur has sown a marked improvement already. Can't wait for the weekend to try the 33.
Have you tried running your car with rear sway bars? What's the verdict?

Thefnshow,
I've been running mine regularly now here in Malaysia where our track temps are about 55 deg C. Setup wise I've managed to get awesome results with Sway bars front and rear and softer rear springs than those that come with the kit. I also use the TOP gear diff with 300000 wt oil. We run BL 17.5 T without timing. The only problem keeping up with the FF03 boys will be the gearing limitation.
Get the rear grip sorted and the car is very rewarding. I use 3 deg of rear camber and the standard 2.5 toe blocks. Read tire wear is so low that the excessive camber is acceptable. You'll go through 3 sets of front tires fr every set of rears.

If you can't get hold of them out in Europe you can order from here in Malaysia. RC Connection sells them.
