Sounds brutal Nexxus.

So had a race the other night with the RFG. Certainly didn't feel like grip had increased to start with. Tried removing shims in the upper links on the rear. Increased rear toe. But the biggest change seemed to be when I shortened the wheelbase with the rear caster setting and removed the top deck. That really locked the back end in. The next race I put the top deck back on which freed it a bit, but still plenty of grip.

Also, when I was changing a rear setting with the caster doodles on, I noticed the caster changed under travel even though I had the same height spacers under both mounts. It went from 0 to 2* long under full travel. But I'll double check this arvo.

toe in/out changes with the RFG-- as the pickup location is different. you'll need to adjust the shims on the am23 to compensate.

I'll double check when I get home, but it was the caster changing. Not the toe in. Like reactive caster, but the shims were the same size.

..Brutal is one word for it! Are these cars inherently fragile or am I just lucky (unlucky?) Seems that my T4 took harder hits and just kept going, this is only in 21.5, so I shudder to think of the potential carnage in Mod TC!

Its not going to be as tough as an X-Ray, but it is more durable than my TRF418.

Rear caster changes effect the rear toe change too.
4degrees is similar to adding 1.75mm

The amtx is probably the 2nd strongest car (behind xray)
You must put a real bumper on the car if your prone to hitting things. Other common/simple things like cutting Your axles must be done.

When you change the rear caster the static toe changes but also the bump toe ( through suspension travel. ) So you MUST adjust the shims to keep the toe from changing as it moves. Or you can use bump toe as an advantage, especially on smooth surfaces.

I believe Hanulec was also referring to the different pickup point of the inner toe link being different when using the RFG option , so setups from non RFG cars have a different shim thickness than what is listed on a particular setup.

Nexxus, you got a heat gun? put the arm on a flat surface (preferably something that wont melt like glass) and heat it, it'll be back to straight like new in seconds.

i find my kit tougher than expected.

Just found the other side is like that too so maybe they're not meant to be dead straight?

They are bent. Replace and check all suspension parts.
