lst, truggy.. isnt anyone gunna try talk me into a bug? :P (not that theres much point trying)

My thoughts are to get the revo 3.3, sell Tq radio/servos, sell EZstart, buy a couple of those coreless? ~240oz in/ .11sec servos for the dual steering setup. And ive always loved the revos suspension and the way everything removes easily for maintenance and cleaning.

LSt leaves me no change and no spares. hellfire would leave me change for spares.
But a lot of the common traxxas parts like ball ends, spurs, clutch shoes, tie rods etc can be shared between various vehicles.

Traxxas stuff has always done me well (all 5 of em) and their customer support is 2nd to none, every man and his dog sells cheap spares and aftermarket hop ups for them because they are so popular.

In my noob days (4yr ago) i got jerked around by an lhs that sold me the car so i called Traxxas customer support at 3am our time ($1.50 call) and 3 days later i received $40USD worth of 2spd parts express posted out, free of charge even though it turned out there was only one faulty part ($10usd 2spd hub)... hell it was probably my own fault back then anyway.

the sad part is, i can remember a whole stack of traxxas part numbers at any given moment but cant remember birthdays, including my mums last mth

new RB just arrived, looks like i'll have to put some time aside to put the spare bug back together & run an engine in this weekend. oh no, what a shame, but i do hate running engines in, it can be so frustrating.

LOL. if i did get a truggy i would stand a better chance at winning since theres only 2 other competitors... i could always count on at least third

maybe ill put the optional centre diff + rear brakes in and run with the truggy's anyway

by the way, what's the plan with points now that we're running 2 races a month? is one a championship round & one not? with all the racing at MP & MV there's no way i can make all the races & if i can know which ones count for championships & which ones don't i can plan when i need to race. if all races count to a championship there'd better be a few more drops. a final answer on this would be good to get sorted out sooner rather than later. 4 races a month is never going to happen for me, number one i'll get sick of racing so much if i'm not careful, number 2 i have a lot of other things to do on my weekends & nitro takes up a full day. with my other sports it leaves me with little time left. not to mention spending some time with the better half.

well here's my thoughts on the subject.

you get 10 races per championshipwith 2 drops.

so make the 1st race of each month a championship points scoring round & if for some reason (weather) the race is cancelled, make the second round the championshjip round. this way you get re-races to keep the championship alive incase you get a bad winter like last year where many weekends were rained out. also allows for people who can't make 2 races a month still able to have a chance in the championship.

in the event both weekends in the month are rained out the race can be rescheduled to later in the year.

any thoughts or other suggestions would be appreciated.

How about both rounds each month are championship rounds, drop your worst one of the two each month.

6 month championship, 6 races count.

I like your suggestion vortex especially since i can only attend the second race every month due to other sporting commitments.

its currently best 7 of 10, so i did consider best 14 of 20.

i do like your idea though james, that does sound pretty good.

i like james' idea. i don't like 14 out of 20, that's far too many race in a round. i don't have a problem with 1 championship per year, as long as it's a 10 rounder. that'll make it a lot easier on you to sort out results too glenn.
