I took the carbon one off my 417 and it works perfectly. Only bummer was that I had already mounted my receiver and it was just a touch too far in towards the center so I had to pull it off the deck and re-do it.

Car is done and set up so hopefully tomorrow I can get down to the track to see how she runs.

Does anyone have an editable PDF set up sheet for the 418?

i just flipped the front battery mount so it screws into the chassis in the alternate hole.
Only spurs that i know to fit ATM are Panaracer, the kit spur and Kawada super EX.

Spent some more time on my steering linkage, managed to get full lock within 120% EPA by using the outer hole on the servo saver (like in the pictures above).

You can also easily get full lock with the longer Smokem steering arms. They are a straight fit on the 418.

The servo horn needs to be mounted one notch to the left when the servo is in neutral position! This is when looking from the front of the car.

I had this problem in my car. Maybe this will help. I used the 3racing part as its 18mm. The Tamiya I think is 16mm.

The Tamiya Aluminium horn is taller than the std servo saver (about 2mm) I also have the Tamiya Aluminium replacement front part of the servo saver (looks like that 3Racing one in the link) and it reaches full lock

Got on the track today but couldn't get any clean track time as there was a family of 5 on the track with rental cars. Every lap one of them would either hit me or be in the way, I guess that's the way it goes sometimes and I'm happy to see the store getting the business. What I can say though is the car felt great! I was right there with my lap times on the 417 and this was with the kit set up (though I do run a front gear diff w/ 2.5million diff fluid). Also the track was in pretty bad shape as the people with the rental cars had managed to destroy the chicane as well as realigned several corners. I'm sure some practice on a clean track will bring my lap times down. If anyone has a set up sheet for a low grip carpet track please post, I'm looking for ways to increase grip coming out of 90 degree corners.
