Yah I'm getting it, Matt's picking it up at the chico race for me. And of coarse you need a new wheeler. Get the xb4 16 to match your xb2.

Hello Freeski,

Thank you for offering my friend. I was able to get a pair from Amain. Had a 10$ credit as well thus $3 and change shipped. Thanks again for the offer as I appreciate it.

No worries Symmetricon. Thanks for the offer my friend. I saw gticlay's response and quickly hit Amain's sit. Luckily I was able to order a pair of 1 dot rears. Even better I had a store credit of $10, thus I got them for $3 and change shipped. Thanks again for the offer as I greatly appreciate it.
The XB4 forum here is really filled with good peps.

Thanks gticlay for the heads up on Amain having rear 1 dots.

Do any of the previous bodies fit the new xb4 ( 2014, 2015)?

I just joined the xray family got a 2015 xb4 and I'm looking for suggestions on upgrades for durability and performance. Also I drive on a hard pack track with light dust and id say it's low on traction, at best med traction. What's a good setup to start with.

My 2015 is box stock with the exception of the exotek cvd collars. i have not broken any parts. I am an average driver at best, that practices about once a week. You shouldn't need a ton of spare parts. maybe just a set of front and rear arms and maybe some front/rear hinge pins. I had a similar experience with the 2014 version. the only part i broke was a front bulkead from a rogue car running the wrong direction on the track.

Why is everyone switching to 1 dot? Just trying to understand. Stock springs too stiff?

The '15 shell will fit the '16, although the body post holes don't line up with the marks.

The '13-14 shells are too narrow at the rear to fit the new car correctly.

I've not seen any aftermarket shells for the '16 yet, apart from maybe the Penguin, but I think it's quite similar to stock.

yeah the Penguin bodies are the same just alot lighter and thinner plastic. They do make the JConcepts Finnisher Body but I think it only fits the 14 spec only. not sure if it would fit the 15 spec...

Default XB4 Gearing

Hi guys,

I just bought my first Xray off road car....an XB4-14. I can't find an Xray motor gearing chart. Does anyone have a gearing recommendation for a 10.5 Novak motor in this buggy? Thx

I am wondering since I have been watching for weeks and weeks for 1.6 and 1.7 shock Pistons and nobody is getting them in stock if for low to med bite track the 2+2 (2-1.5+ 2-1.1 and the 2-1.6+2-1.1) Pistons would be just as good or would those be too soft? Or maybe I could use the 1.5/1.1 Pistons in the front and rear?

I used 2- 1.5 1.1 and 2-1.5 1.1 in my 15 on lower bit dirt to med bite clay. They worked great and handle larger jumps fairly well. I Have them for my 16 as well.
