you cut the top off the ball end so you can remove the tie rodes without poping out the plastic ends.

You have to upgrade every ball to the hex end version but it is worth it.

I have done this to my 415MRE from day one and had no ball end come off.

just cut the top round part off to expose a 2 -2.5mm hole where you can put the hex wrench through.

yes Hk have customer used S400 gear diff in TRF416 !
& HPI 199x Year 39T pulley gear diff used in Cyclone !
