Default Hopups!!

Hey folks, i just bought a brake stopper w/19T pulley, a pair of front universals, alu. front center bulk and front upper arm mounts for a start...they are recommended by my LHS. All from 3racing though..thats what they have there.

I am now thinking of getting a rear body stay, alu. stiffence and the side mount support to strengthen the car...what do you guys think? Also, is there a need to change the pulleys to aluminium ones and what other important parts have i left out? Cheers.

Thanks.

Never had a problem with the plastic brake stopper myself but i know of a few people who have had them break or melt. For hop ups, i would suggest alu wheel hexs, CARBON Y brace, side brace and a stiffer chassi and top deck but i don't think their imperative.

Diesel, I think most people will agree that the alu pulleys aren't high on the priority list at all and a fair few would probably say it's more of a hinderance .

Oh, am I looking a little paranoid.

Yes, we've had a bit of trouble with the placcy brake stopper, though many haven't - cracked ones, broken out pins on another, and one that was completely gone/missing after one heat. Considering the brakes are not heavily used with a one-way, I'm at a loss for an explanation. Even the ally one came loose at the recent Vic. Titles, but that's really the pit man's fault.

Dexter,
We know why you don't have the issue.

diesel,
In my opinion, anything that's alloy and high up, better be paying it's way in improved performance.
I'm with Dexter - forget the alloy pulleys.

Default V one S Tires?

Hello all,

Just wondering if you think that the HPI Advan belted tires would be a good choice of tires for unprepared and dusty parking lots? I'd like the tires to last a while as this is just a play car for me. Any input or info would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Default Good centex clutch assembly

Hello guys, Is anybody know a guide or web link on how to assemble proper, good centex clutch?. Somebody told me the centex clutch with trust bearing is not pick up. Is this true?. Instead of using the trust bearing they change it with just using shims!

Any comments guys.

hi,

i noticed that you have 0 for toe front. Forgive my noobiness if i'm wrong, but doesn't toe out at the front reduce understeer (according to the ackerman steerin priciple)? i have 1.5 degrees toe out at the front and my car is able to stick closer to the inner circle of hair pins. or is it just my driving?

Are you getting the understeer on corner entry or exit?

But for somewhere to start, 45's sound rather hard for a medium bite track - try 37's. Next, I'd try either black rear springs or silver fronts.
This should get you in the ballpark,

Thanks taylor, from the site what i understand there is no such without thrust bearing for centax system. Probably what the guy said to me is his own experiment.

caster - spacers all in front

You could try reducing some of that caster![
