are you running a one way?...if so, its normal......

if not, the car is tweaked, its got a bad bearing, one of the cvd's is broken, one wheel hex is stripped,.....any of the above.....

ICE98 if the front diff looks like this then it is a one way that will cause you to spin out of control when hard braking. Soften the brake a little.

Also, check to make sure your pullies in the front are intact, and that your ride height is not too high or else the car will handle poorly.

So do you have a oneway front diff? Which version of the R40 did you get? Also give us information on how you are setting up your car. That way we can help better.

you have an asian edition kit...they came with the one way...

I would try a front diff, or a solid axle....they will both give you front end braking, and will stabilize the car under braking...

do you guys use original hpi belt or aftermarket belting from hardware belt shop cause mine easily shows sign of tear after 1 track practice maybe cause the track not maintained from fallen dead leaves.

you answered your own question....I've raced my car for 4 years.....haven't replaced 5 belts......any of these pro style cars are designed for maintained tracks...

I haven't had any belt problems either. Make sure your gears are cleaned out throughly. I use a sharp metal probe to clean everything out in the low spots. The crud that gets in there is just as black as the gear.

I broke a front belt, i think a rock got in there, and i stripped a rear belt which wore the pulley down. Otherwise I had no belt woes either
