QUESTION RE LT WT FRONT KNUCKLES & REAR UPRIGHT
Just installed the lt wt rev arms on my 415. After adjusting the camber & toe-out on my set-up station, I installed my race tires to set the ride height & noticed that the front knuckles & rear uprights sort have some slop in them that the std arms didn't have that much. Is it just me or is their a way to lessen the slop?
Any reply would be appreciated since this is the first time I'll be using the lt wt arms when I race @ my LH asphalt track next friday.

Try using the stainless outter hinge pin set. It takes out alot of slop. You may still have to use some motor shims to take it all out.

As Rod indicated Marc's chassis was 4mm prototype for foam. If there is enough demand in north america Tamiya may produce it. Marc also ran a new front diff that Tamiya will be releasing (I just don't know when)
MAKE and SELL IT TAMIYA!!
count me in if that happens...hopefully enough people chime in so that Tamiya notices there are many diff/foam/carpet racers in the US.
4mm carpet chassis for a 415... hell I'm in. I know another guy who'd be interestest as well. Hell, I'd love to have a 4mm chassis for my EvoIV as well!!
lw suspension
The foam cars were using HPI knuckles or some other option.
I just use shims to remove some slop in the lw suspension. I like the .1mm axel shims as they are very thin and easy to add. I like the rear alloy uprights as they keep the bearings from moving around more than the stock ones.

I do have a question re the upcoming TRF415MSX Refine kit. Should I just get the MSX conversion kit for my 415 or should I just wait for the Refine kit (w/c includes everything) instead as an additional car rather than upgrading the std 415 to it's equivalent?
Any takers welcome.

Besercoe I tried working with BMI about a year ago on a carpet chassis and it went nowhere. I sent back a full car for him to prototype off of. Not sure what happened but it took about 3 months to get the car back and went nowhere. At the time I think there were too many other irons in the fire for Jason.
Martin, Corey, Rod and the rest of the Tamiya guys good job wish I could have made it down too many conflicts with the job that pays the bills......

How do you foam racers put on such wide foamies on the front ?? i remember i was scrubbing the hub carrier with 26mm foamies ... and to cut it down to 'super narrows' to fit..
Is it done by using 6mm hex hubs and narrowing the track width using various toe blocks???

You have to use pro4 steering knuckles and the org. suspension stub axle.

Alloy diffs front and rear!! For carpet please make the diff screw 3mm
the 2.5 screws tend to break. Corally(2.5mm screw) drivers are have that problem once in awhile. Xrays (3mm screw) never break. Just my 2 cents
Here's pics of the diff's I designed and machined. They use Xray style bellville washers and thrust washer with 3mm screws, and delrin blades I also made (same size as corally blades).
