Durango DEX210 Thread
I don't personally like trailing steering so for me it's inline only. The manual gives you a good starting location for the camber links. You can start with 1.5 anti squat. I personally like 3 in rear motor or none in mid motor. You don't need a setup sheet. Just try something. If it doesn't handle right, change it. A kit car isn't an rtr.
Looks like inline steering will be the next change I make. Everything feels good but it's just too lazy on the steering both on and off power. Want to get it feeling too twitchy and them dial out steering.
Anyone have a dialed setup for the mid-motor config? I have a great setup on my buggy for rear, but even with that large rear weight my tail just wont stay planted on our track with the mid motor. I may just shelf the setup for carpet running during the winter but this is a clay/dirt mix so it's a med to high bite but certainly not high. I love the feel of this thing on the jumps but cannot seem to find a happy place for it. thoughts or just give up :P lol

I come into the corner faster and just try to maintain speed until I'm pointing where I want to go AND heading in a relatively straight line then I roll on the throttle. On sharp turns >90° I have to constantly remind myself not to get on it too early. That's really my only problem spot right now. This thing in MM just tears through sweepers.

Are the hinge pins on the DEX210 pretty strong or do they bend like the DEX410?

ultimate solution is mcmaster's pins, I got that in my 4wd sct for almost a year now, and still perfectly fine.

I guess I'll make the effort and cut some for the 210 just to be safe.

I already have mcmasters on my DESC410 and DEX410, and was going to cut some for the 210 as well. But when I started the build, I saw the pins are full width unlike the 410, which made me wonder if durango fixed the hinge pin problem.

I believe the material is more important (than shape).
*I haven't achieve to bend any pin on 2wd buggy yet. they are really light.
Ripped out my rear right arm first day out and the hinge pin was straight as an arrow. Think it safe to say the stockers are halfway decent lol

a 11g servo, and perhaps some 3d printed parts.
simpler project than this one, http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...nt-brakes.html
and especially on high grip tracks, the front wheel brake improves brake performance massively.

I only run stock and mm and I've not had any issue with the pins on the 210. I did change them out for Lunsford on my 410. I'm not aware of any issues owith the pins on the 210.

i've only broke 2 things on my 2 dex210s. the front shock tower is cracked on one and i tore a right front c-hub into 3 peices on the same car.
i have all of the 1/10th scale durango cars, the 210, the st, the sc, the desc410 and the dex410 and i haven't bent a hinge pin yet. i have pulled the rear out of the st and the sc and broke 2 front arms on the desc410.
i plan on getting the aluminum c-hubs for the dex210.
any word yet on a new 2wd buggy?
