I heard that the Mugen Sedan Cup race is going to have a 220 mm class. Looks like interest is developing for this class already.

Hello everyone, first I would like to thank Mugen Seiki and Mike Swauger for allowing us to host the Mugen Seiki Nitro Challenge Cup for the second year. The first year was a blast and I am expecting at least 60 or more drivers this year in ther 1/10 nitro.

I am totally excited about the NEW 220 GPR class and watching them run.

I will start having entry list, race info and hotel info on my web-site @ www.speedworldraceway.com starting next Thursday or sooner under Mugen Challenge Cup on the left side in the menu bar.

This race should be out of this WORLD.

Thank you for your support and hope to see some new faces this year.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at any time.

Billy

I hope this 220 class grows..........but ya know I hope just onroad racing in general improves. With the steady fall off of racers showing up, do we really need another car?? 200mm has an open class now. It's with the 200mm Lola bodies. The cars have way more traction and use regular sedan tires. The cars are actually alot of fun to drive. With a solid axle in the rear, and a oneway up front they drive like an 1/8th scale. HOWEVER Nobody runs the class, and it has almost no participation at sedan nats.

Perhaps if this 220mm class also required small block 15s (even modded ones) then it might be an affordable new class without blowing out your pockets to step-up to 1/8....

Good luck at the Kawahara/Nova cup. When are you coming back to the U.S. again?

This class is funny, I loved it because it was so easy to make it go faster than Touring. But after the Race in Japan, I started 1/8 scale Never look back

We have a new indoor track, not big enough for 1/8 but perfect size for these. I will start again in a few weeks.
It will be fun to see the electric faces ..
