Kimbrough pancar spurs are the ticket for this car.

I use a 96T 64t kimbrough spur as well. they are beefy and very round. I use the Yeah Racing pinions from tqrcracing.com . I'm really happy with this combo as it it really quiet.

never really considered if they were particularly round lol. but they have all the holes needed for the specr system and are cheap to replace. i find them kinda soft and easy to mangle though. definitely best for indoors. outdoors i might look for something else.
the spec r gears are actually pretty tough but they dont make them small enough for 17.5. im not brave enough to run modified with the S1 at all lol.

I've had no issues with Kimbrough spurs, they've always treated me well.

Default R1 ordered and on the way...

It WILL be good, I can feel it.

Built one for a friend and had no complaints. I did pinch for the Alu layshaft pulleys though.

The chassis has mad corner speed for some reason.

Default Comparison Spec-R S1 vs 3Racing Sakura XI Sport

Hi
I would like to know if someone has made any experience with these two cars.
Which one is more reliable?
I want to race blinky mode 13.5T, so I considered this two models.
Any suggestions from your side?
Thank you for your help.

Well, if someone is buying an S1, it's probably largely for money reasons. Telling them to buy both is like telling them to just get an R1.

I have owned both the S1 and the R1 Pro and they are equally as durable, and race reliable. On low/no grip asphalt tracks i prefer the R1 on med + grips surfaces I personally think there is no difference at all in how the cars handle.

Thanks a lot for your help.
In our track there is not a lot of grip. So i think I will go with the Sakura.
To be honest in the other hand I like the look of the Spec R much more

Just to clarify, I'm not sure you guys were talking about the same thing. The S1 is not the Sakura, it's the sport version of the R1.

Hi metalnut
Yes I know.
Like a member said, the Spec R R1 is better in low grip condition to high grip and the Spec R S1 just from mid to high grip. So I have to switch to the sakura XI Sport as it is better for low grip condition.
I think the main chassis is not as narrow as other brands (Sakura, Team Magic..)
I have also seen the RGT Touring Car which is also very interesting..

The S1 has very little flexibility all around, it's made of pretty hard plastic with little to no flex. The original R1 is much more flexible with its carbon chassis and top plate, and the R1 Pro Spec even more so (the Pro Spec has a 2.25mm chassis as opposed to the R1s 2.5mm). So, that's where the handling differences come from. For added flexibility on the R1/Pro, you can leave out the screws that mount the top plate to the motor mount.

The aim is, to compete against all the high end chassis in 13.5 blinky mode.
So the idea was to buy a 100 dollar car and start a budget racer serie.
that's what I want to do with the Sakura, Spec R S1, E4JSII or RGT..
