Correct!
Motor should come off 140's or so, depending on track and how much drag break.

I'm running my tires a little bigger for club racing, so will I need to go down on the pinion ?

What were you going to start with for gearing?

I just noticed you said you ran bigger tires.

I started with a 3.25. I'm running a 2.165 or 55mm tire size for club racing. I'll go smaller for bigger races.

That should be close.
Listen for the grunt out of the turns and watch the temps

One more week until I get to try this 13.5 out. If I like it, I'll order a 17.5 for my spec gt car too. Only problem is which one to get? spec gt is basically WGT with different bodies and 17.5 motors. I'm thinking a 17.5 1/12th motor but with a bit more rotor. What would you suggest?

I'm running a Team Powers now and the top is great but it lacks some bottom end grunt.

We are running a 17.5 WGT class here. Best results was a 12.5 4 line rotor with 20 to 25* endbell timing at a 3.47ish RO on a 90 x 40 track with alot of turns that require grunt!
