thanks for the input guys. Next question. Anyone know where I can get a cyclone HB Pro Spec Diff Screw Set (w/ thrust bearing)

http://www.speedtechrc.com/store/ebp...id=472&id=7890

I need one shipped to California by Friday the 14th at the latest.

Also if anyone knows a good online / local shop in southern california that stocks a lot of cyclone parts that would be great too.

Korey,

Regarding your Exotek chassis setup for medium grip carpet (as posted here
) would you suggest any different settings for 13.5/17.5?

I showed this setup to a prior Cyclone team driver who recently defected to Associated (!), and he indicated that the indicated droop settings (9/10mm to center of the hinge pin) were more for mod where breaking is used a lot more than when using 13.5/17.5 BL motors.

Comments?

The new cvds your are asking are for the TCX?

Current Cyclone, Cyclone TC has 44mm universal or CVD drive shafts. The new TCX will come with 46mm universal drive shafts in the front and existing 44mm universal shafts in the rear.

Thanks,

I can see where he is coming from. Weight gets thrown around a lot more on a car in modified, so running that droop setting limits the amount of travel the car has, reducing the weight transfered as well. In spec racing classes, there isn't quite as much... so one may think to run a lower setting. Personally, my setups from mod to modern day spec racing are pretty similar. Spec racing classes are so fast now, the setups carry over well from modified. Thats just my opinion though.

For me, running a higher setting (like 10 front, 9 rear) keeps the car more stable and thats the main reason why I did that. When I got too aggressive with my car and it had a lower setting (like 9 front and 8 rear) it became unstable in the middle of the corner.

Just need to give it a try and see what works best for you!

Big Thanks go out to Leo Perez for bringing me on the HotBodies / HPI-racing team. I'm really please to be running for such a great company with such a great group of drivers. Made my debut running Cyclone TC yesterday at the 1st Sweep Challenge. Car was amazing. Dropped car down on track and car felt instantly better than the MI4LP I was running and setup I had been developing over the last season. I finished 3rd in stock A main with fastest car of day coming from B main bump up after having electronic issues during quals. Finished 5th in the 1st Mod race in the east coast for many years running just a 10.5 Can't wait to see what I can do with it and the TCX when it come out

Yes, in fact the pulley which you are using is probably made specially apart from somewhere which i could not have it. Due the the gear diff originally is running 40T pulley.
