nope...
From the std car to MS spec, the differences are;
LWT suspension (which can be had in a complete package)
MS bulkheads on the rear (slightly swoopier)
Belt stabiliser.
Delrin rear outdrives.
Shock towers.
2.5mm chassis
Thats pretty much it. If you were going to take a std kit and go to MSX, to have all the "bling" all you would need is a LWT suspension kit, and the delrin rear outdrives... nothing more. This is because, as already stated, the MSX conversion will come with all the parts to take the kit to MSX level, and as such replaces the chassis, shock towers, bulkheads etc.
I will admit it's a bit of a faux pas on Tamiyas behalf, firstly ending production of the kit that the top drivers use, and seemingly not having enough suspension kits avaliable to allow others to convert.... opps.
That seems to be where most of the confusion comes in.
Hope it makes sense.

acutts - The TRF World Champion Set has:
- Direct Center Pulley (as opposed to center oneway)
- 0 degree aluminium Rear uprights (for LWT suspension)
- XA, XB, XC, XD Toe Blocks
I think that's it... I could be wrong though. I've not bought it.

how well does the 415 ms handle on carpet with Foams?
I'm not sure what the guy was saying about cutting down to 20mm's...
What you want to do is if you plan to run the standard 28mm foams from Parma, TRC, GQ, ect. you need to install the HPI Pro4 front knuckles. Note that the HPI part used different bearings also.
This will allow you to have full clearance for any 28mm foam. You might also want to place a 1 or 1.5mm shim on the top of the knuckle to fill the space between that knuckles and the c-hub.
This should work perfect. I have run my 415 on foams with 8T, 19T, and stock with zero problems on carpet and asphault.
This is the part:
http://www.speedtechrc.com/store/ebp...id=188&id=1421
Part #: HP73507
You have to buy two since HPI sells 1 front knuckle and 1 rear hub as the set. No big deal since you can run the HPI rear hubs if you want to. They are 0deg and just shim it accordingly.

Emm, quick question. What's the size of the wheel bearings on the 415? (old suspension)
I don't want to go out to the garage to measure them since it's in the middle of the night
