Hey Jason,
I have a BMI TC4, and I recently noticed that when I run my 3800 packs that the chassis bows in the center of the batteries. Do you have to shim up the battery strap? Other than that, the car has been awesome.

TC4 chassis
I was finally getting around to putting together my TC4 chassis and had a questiong about the stand-off's included with the kit. There are eight small 1/4" (approx.) stand-off's that I believe were said to be for the diff's, is that correct? When I installed them, the bearing support for the rear input shaft was to far off the lower plate and the diffs appeared to be hovering out in space. I removed them and all is well. What are the stand-off's for if not for the diffs?
Also, does anyone have a base setup for stock carpet and asphault that they can post or email? I was going to use the most rescent setup from the team chassis for asphault but I have not run on carpet with it yet so I have no starting point for reference.
Thanks in advance.

I tried that but they do not fit. The bosses on the diffs/transmission housings seems to only have a smaller diameter on two of the four. Neither of which fit the standoffs.

Okay. I used some common sense and figured out where the stand-off's go. After looking at the top plate I noticed four countersunk holes that lined up with the holes where the chassis braces mounted for the tub chassis and voila.
I do have one other question/concern regarding the stock motor mount placement. After mounting it and the motor I had to move the pinion gear further out on the output shaft, it seems to be set at almost the tip of the shaft and the little grub screw looks like it is just barely grabbing the end of it. Is this normal?

The pinion will definitely be further out on the shaft. You just need to take your time and set it correctly and then you will be fine. There is less room for error but there is pleanty of room to get it right.
Hey Jason I can't remember if I posted or not but I did get everything worked out with the motor mount. It needed 1mm shim under one of the motor mount screws and the gearbox had to be shimmed 2 mm to get everything free again. Haven't had a single issue since then.
Any word on the towers yet? I really want to try a set that have been "lowered" I think that will really help the car out alot. I looked at the FT shock towers and they are same locations as the molded ones.
