Godzilla.....most of the tracks around here are indoor carpet and they are about 75 to 90 feet long by about 50 and some of the outdoor/parking-lot type tracks are about 115 feet long. So the track size is relative to what you have to race on you know.

Why dont you guys specify rollout, as this takes out all the variables, and is a much easier term to compredend what the differences in your gearing are.

Where is everybody racing in Tampa Bay this weekend?

I have just purchased a second hand Mission today. Have seen them going fast at my local track and thought it was time to try something diff.

I have noticed that the front belt is very tight, it doesn't even use the belt tensioner. Is this normal? It has the standard belts on it. Any tips on making it a bit looser?

Also, what effect does useing the in-board toe in front and rear?

Tony, No this isn't normal. The front belt should generally be fairly loose. It is a while since i ran a std belt, but it wasn't any tighter than the grey ones. The only thing i can think of checking is that there isn't something crushed into either the diff pullies, or even into the teeth of the belt.

FTD: The front belt can be run very loose, especially in stock. Instead of having to go around small drive pulleys, the belt goes around the two large diff pulleys. The extra teeth and larger pulley means less tension is needed to keep the belt from skipping. Some people run the grey belts, which are supposed to be freer (and some will swear by them), I didn't notice much difference between a greay belt and the stock belt after soaking it in WD40. Its your choice.

Inboard toe adds more traction to whatever end of the car it is on, but if the car is hooked without running the inboard toe, adding it will slow the car down a couple of tenths (so it has been said). If the car is loose, and nothing else seems to be able to hook the car up, the inboard toe usually will, in which case, the car will go faster. It's just one more adjustment that you will need to experiment with and see if it suits your driving style...Hope that helps.

I run 3 degrees toe in on my rear with a powerful motor to still keep it rollin fast. With the power of the motor and the traction of the car is about the best combination u could have!

Which Associated springs are closest to the grey Schuie sprngs????

I will be running on a bumpy carpet track this winter along with a smooth asphalt track, so to keep me from having to rebuild shocks each week I will be running Tamiya shocks with associated springs on the carpet track and need a place to start with Associated springs........

The grey Schumacher spring is pretty close to the Blue Associated. Probably in between Silver and Blue.......
