Wounded indeed.

Wound, perhaps not.

On the otherhand if you dont get it, stay with the EFRA rules and cook your motors.
Modified is to expensive, we do the cheap thing we run stock.
Ed: I wasn't correcting you on the typo.
The problem is that we are bound to certain rules in the NOMAC Dutch Nationals. And we aren't allowed to rewind the motors.

Are the motors sealed by NOMAC/EFRA.
The point is that with the coils following the rules that you stay in trouble,
because you have magnetic interference between thick and thin wires in to the same coil this together with the frequency set by the ESC give heat like
a magnetron and then it looks like the motor is not overheated but the copper is melted and cause shortcut in to the woundings()
Let's continue in Dutch. I sent you a PM with a link to my forum in The Netherlands.

I tried this on Sunday;

Question for Randy etc at Tekin.

With regard to the weak brakes problem that a lot of people have experienced, including me;

It has been suggested by another person who has suffered to try setting the motor to forward & reverse, the reducing the brake/reverse endpoint of the transmitter down to a level that enables the speed control to try and engage reverse but so weakly that it actualls appears as strong brakes.

I.e, when my reverse side is set to 35%, if I hold the car off the ground and pull back on the stick I get the high pitch 'frequency' type of sound but no reverse movement.

My main question is, If I race with it like this using weak reverse as my brakes, will this cause any damage or overheating etc.

It did use a bit of extra power but the motor didn't get too hot, neither did the ESC but it certainly made the car stop better.

Don't get offended mate, I wasn't taking a shot at you, just thought it was a funny mistake.
English is my fourth language anyway if you really need to know and I am sure there's plenty of people around here in the same situation. Being on an english based forum however, I think this is irrelevant anyway. Besides, english has tons of easily accesible spellcheckers if you really feel at a disadvantage.

Dutch is like a sort of mishmash of german and english with more zeds, as far as I figure.

Mijn Nederlands is zo goed als mijn web vertaler.
