Except for being in blinky mode in the past, pretty much all my ESC settings were the defaults...LOL

Thanks.
Turn the punch up to 10, PWM at 4K and drag brake at 5 to start.

You need the ORCA USB Link to update firmware in both the Program Card and speedo.

Pay careful attention to what speedo you have and the latest version of software that applies to it. Check ROAR-approved ESCs to determine what related software updates are approved for competition.

Most posted comments about performance relate to those running TCs (2S). Throttle is supposed to be smoother and brakes are stronger. I just updated my WGTs (VX1 1S ESCs) and do not expect much difference overall.

Check with EA for specifics. EA is the guru of this stuff...LOL

I hear you about the way the ORCA Programming Card functions. You have to go through the menus a lot...LOL

I find that the program box is fairly simple and easy to use. Has a way better feel than the cheapo plastic program boxes. On the other hand I've never been good at updating firmware on anything. Lol

Is anyone running a VXX in 21.5 blinky F1?

My program box only allows up to 25% drag brake and I need a bit more. Otherwise, the ESC was fantastic, very smooth throttle and brakes.

I have, and currently run it in USGT 21.5, I can not imagine a 21.5 application needing much, if any much less more than 25% drag. Those classes are all about corner speed and drag brake kills that. I actual borderline prefer a 1 way

Well this is not USGT. I hardly use drag brake in USGT and 17.5 (maybe 5-15%).

But I need it more in F1. It is due to the 1:1 ratio and combination of a really free drivetrain/lower magnetic strength of the rotor. At the moment, my Justock is able to go much higher drag brake rates. A few of the fast F1 guys at my track run really high drag brake too and some don't, so its just a preference thing. Luckily the Orca can be tuned for extremely smooth push brake.

I will check with ORCA to see if there is a reason the drag brake stops at 25% or if they can make the next software update go higher.

Thank you!
Just an update I have gotten official word from ROAR that all RX3 motors have passed ROAR inspection and approval process is finalized. They are on the approved list now and legal for use.
