Starting a fresh build and hitting the tired wall so time to stop. I have a question concerning the servo shimming. I am going to install the trackstar TS-915, does anyone know what shim is to be used or how much to shim it? I know it uses the futaba spline for servo horn. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will check back tomorrow as the eyes are heavy lol.

Gearing questions.
Hey guys, I'm racing the 17.5 class at my local track and using 70/30 gears. I ran the 17/31 and my temps coming off the track were around 110. I went down a tooth pinion wise and it changed to around 115. How far would you recommend me change the gearing to stay under temp and still get good performance out of the car. By the way the track is med. to high bite hard packed, mostly smooth with some rough spots in and out of the main straight. Thanks in advance if any of you have any advice!

Motor is a reedy mach 3 17.5 esc hobbywing stock v3.1 timing on motor is at 40 degrees.

Your gearing sounds like you're close. I'm not sure what timing people are using on the Reedy M3, but if your temp is 115 after eight minutes you have nothing to worry about. Most people shoot for anywhere from 160-180 depending on manufacturer. How is the performance compared to others? Personally, I'd add a few teeth to the pinion and turn up the timing to shoot for 160 after eight minutes.

17/31 was a typo lol I meant 70/31. Performance is there but I'm still about a second off the fast guys lap times. Could be my driving too though I'll just have to push it a little harder next practice day see what I can do with it.
