I thought the pro already had the lightweight options? my bad.

No need to be disappointed with the Pro though because, the only thing the 2013 has what makes the car quicker is the low profile shocks (lower cg). You can`t use the old shocks anymore and i have 2 sets with different oil in them to change quick. The 2013 LP shock tower however looks weak, (i do seem to roll the car sometimes ) and i would suggest to mod the old shocktower for the LP shocks. Just redrill the holes and remove some. The wire arb is not needed in my opinion. The flex radioplate is easy to make also, if you have the regular one. I made some improvements more to the NT1 than xray did. If you are interested i can post some pictures of it while asembling the car for the first race. Every one can do it if you are handy and want it? also.

But its always nice to have the latest car. So buy the car or only the LP shocks.

This car has more going for it than LP shocks.. Plus the shock towers are the same thickness... 3mm. I don't see them being any weaker just because they are not as tall, maybe stronger.. I like the narrow chassis, that will be nice on the corners with chassis rub. Comes with both front sway bar options. This car IMO is way more optimized than the previous. Black and orange is pretty sweet too!

I wonder if this kit has the new lower engine mounts, i don't believe it was said in the Features

TAMAK,

Your missing my point.
But the car is sweet i agree with you. It
also has the flex inserts on the radioplate.
The shocks are more angled also for more grip.
It has al lot off improvements.

Any tricks to bending back the main chassis Straight? Im gonna slum it this year if i can Make It Work. New chassis not in my budget.
Rear end is bent up a bit. Seems straight left/right.

Valk,

Usually caused by pressing on a startbox with no flat plate.

get someone to pres the car down on a flat table and then tighten the screws.
Ordered myself a eastern brand chassis for 30 dollar? Because the rear tends to hit the surface and gets thinner with wear. Untill its to flexy and you start destroing the spurs in a row. happened to me:

I didn't say the pro didn't have lightened parts in it and yes it comes with more then what is included in the 2013 edition. While I agree you can easily cut the front of the radio tray to allow for front flex, I don't see how you can modify the rear of a tray to the same spec as the 2013 edition...

I don't agree that the Pro is still a better kit and to me the 2013 is a step in the right direction for Xray.

Pretty impossible to straighten the old one.... Zeppin make a good chassis and much cheaper than an xray one! And it's gold anodized!!

Rcabj try the spool in the front it will give you more on power steer.
Try it with the front upper arm roll centre position in the top position.

Try the plastic insert that comes in the diff and if you like the feel buy the lightweight version of the spool.

be careful though you dont want use the spool if you dont have traction but it wont hurt to try it i would go 150k-200k in front diff and go 80k rear diff just my 2cents good luck xray up
