THANKS SEAMUS.

I JUST GOT MY BACKORDERED SHORT SHOCK KIT( A CHRISTMAS PRESENT). I WAS WONDERING IF I SHOULD USE THIS KIT ON THE STREET. OR, USE THEM FOR THE CARPET TRACKS THAT WE ARE RACING ON IN OUR SERIES. I KNOW THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FOR SMOOTH CARPET TRACKS. THE TRACK THAT WE RUN ON ONCE A WEEK IS SEMI-BUMPY ASPHALT. I WAS WONDERING IF I SHOULD USE THEM ALL THE TIME OR NOT.

The only parts I only break on this car are the C-hubs. I used to break just the steering knuckles. Now I'm just breaking c-hubs. We race around wooden barriers so its very ruff on the cars, anyhow.

I race on o-zite with rubber tires, here is the setup I have been running lately and like very much

Front:
droop- 2
camber link-2
shocks-#3,50wt,57,blue
swaybar-.068
arms middle
2 kickup
2 caster
2 gold washers under bellcrank ballstuds
one-way

Rear:
droop-5
camber link-3,B,one gold washer under ballstud
shocks-#1,outside,50wt,56,red
swaybar-.058
arms rear

Batteries forward
Pit 24,20 tires, JB BLue, Yokomo wheels

I used to run Yokomo 139gs all around, Pits seem ALOT smoother, but l lengthened the front Camber link to get some steering back.

Like I posted earlier, I have tried the LRC blocks 2 times and have never found them beneficial. I don't know if its due to running 5 mm of ride height, or my driving style. Let me know how running the LRC has helped your cars.

I usually gear my GM3 at 118/30 on our 116'x50' track.

other than the 88t spur that is included with the kit, what would be an alternative spur that you guys use in stock and in mod? or should i just stick with the stock 88t spur? also, what other company makes the spur gear adapter? i only saw one from trinity, the red anodized aluminum part. thanks for any info!

What aluminium hex adaptors for the wheels besides the ones made for the TC3 by yokomo can fit the XXX-S? Can the ones made for the V-1R fit? Thanks.

MIke #
re the BRP wide bumper. Ive e-mailed mimi, BRP and stormer hobbies re shipping one of these to me in the UK. However, just out of curiosity, how does the bumper attach to the stock Losi item? I see there is a hole in the centre of the brace but do the body post screws hold it on as well? Also what sort of material is the bumper made out of?

Hope I can get one of these as I think it will save me many trips to the modelshop for castor blocks and carriers!!!

The two screws for the dody post screw up into the body post to secure the pumper. The hole in the middle is one that you have to drill yourself. It is just drilled into the thick part of the olastice bumper. I think that it is made of really hard Kydex. It has taken about 10 really good blows on a tight carpet track and withstood all of tthe abuse. My driving as of late is getting a lot better .

what are so good setups for prepared asphalt? I downloaded the ones off the losi site already. the track I run at is pretty smooth, there are a few bumpy sections though. The car I bought currently has the low roll center parts on it.

Are the Losi springs all one length? I just noticed (shows how much I work on my car ) that the fronts are shorter. I just put the .28 shocks on and was gonna mount up some blue springs but noticed that they are longer than the purple ones. I have the shock collars near the top and still cant get the ride height I want.

From what Todd Hodge has said, Losi has made a running change and now all springs for the XXX-S will be 1 inch long.
