same motor, just everyone is a little different and i didnt wanna confuse companys. that nd peak labels the carrera as "super touring" and it is supposidly set for a touring car but i dont think it makes a difference. i've been running an 11x1 in my sedan and a 12x2 in my truck

It was geared according to the manual which seems to be about right for short tracks and was quite hot at the end, something must be wrong so I'm going to get a new motor and leave the 11x3 in my Pro-10. I was thinking a Core 12x1 High speed or as there are no motor restrictions at my club a 11x2, which 12x1 do u have, high speed or high torque and how does it go?

yeah i used to run mine way different from stock and it was terrible!!!

i ran a 12x1 Core high torque had to gear down a few teeth from what i normally run though to pull it out from the water. no wheelspin though, plenty of grip.

for damp (greasy conditions) try either the CS22's or the sorex 20r's, these are best in those conditions.

after testing i've found sorex to give good grip, but not last very long. take off's have better grip and last ages!

Default shock towers

Hey proudwinner,

Yep, we're doing shock towers. I don't have a release date but the info will be posted on the Team PRP site as soon as we are closer to production.

Thanks!

OBY, i normally use Take Off tyres, sometimes Sorex (I've also found they wear quickly) recently I've tried Orion/hotbodies tyres, they start off with massive grip, then wear quickly then start to work well again (a bit like Michelin F1 tyres) I've also experimented with Gandini/fast tires foams (I think the company's now been bought by Ernie) Have u seen the add for ING tyres? do u know what they're like?

To everyone, what's the minimum number of turns I can use for a 5 min race and 2400's

Team PRP,
Try to inform us on the release of the shock towers, I personally know that I will want to get these. Especially with lower shock holes.

i've seen the ING tyres advertised..what they are like i haven't a clue!

i used to run a 13t with 2400's. a 14t is a really safe bet though, just watch you dont up the timing too much, most of the race is made in the corners, straight line speed isnt that important.

I've been using a 11x3 chrome touring for a while with 2400s and have never dumped. I think it had a problem last time because it was sparking badly, go hot and was quite slow. I skimmed it after the race and it had the same problem, i'll check the timing+ brush hoods and see if something's wrong.

maybe you have the timing retarded. I hardly see people dump these dasy because of the really good batts out there.

I think I've fixed the problem, I took the motor apart and found that one of the brush hoods was dented from what must have been a nasty crash so I bent it back (probably when someone was going down the back straight, hopped over the hose, and smacked me in the side) I cut the comm again, cleaned the brushes and now it works fine but I still might get a Core

TeamAE I think the timing's OK

how about trinity's P94? it's comm design sounds pretty ideal, is it as good as it is advertised in reality?
