I'd stick to regular nimh stuff for now, dont know if Lipo is really allowed at too many tracks out here yet.. Tell Ilene youll be at my place, should work, its not the track at least.

It works fine all you have to do is run a shorter ackerman which is better anyways.

Practically needed to use the foam chassis on the asphalt it had so much bite, I cant imagine how high the carpet bite will be up there lol.. Anyway I preferred the 6 cell chassis with the batts forward over the 5 cell chassis. I'd go with the thick 6 cell chassis if I were you.

thanks guys,

randy, i actually have used the thick chassis at SIR, and it worked great.

i will put that on and get a 5 cell one to try.

i did get a chance to run 5 cell 3.5 novak on foams at a large parking lot track with med bite, i haven't had that much fun since i don't know when. of course i never finished a heat... something about not suppose to pull the trigger on a mod motor like you do on a stock motor.

Quick question, I’m picking up a duratrax ice tomorrow morning and I need to know what size power supply to pick up? I’m going to head to radio shack cause I hear they have some decent deals, but what size do I need? I want to ultimately run to Ice’s off one power supply, I was thinking 25-30 amps? Any suggestions?

Radio Shack sells a 25 amp switching power supply for about $100. You could run three Ice chargers charging at 8 amps each

try more like 4 as power=voltage times current so:
25amps x 12 volts=300 watts
so 9volts (what a pack peaks at so worst case all four packs peak at once)
9 X 6amps charge rate x 4 chargers= 216 watts theirfore ur safe as running 4 long as u dont charge 10 cell packs at 8 amps lol
i use a 20 amp and its sweet runs charger warmers motor cooler discharger even charges my phone

Is that setup working well for rubber tires on carpet?

It might be easier to find it on Schumacher USA's website in their tech area..
