Good stuff. Is there a decent FF scene out there? The minis are popular here in Malaysia but this class isn't really. Having said that there a few races coming up third month and next. I'll be taking part in all!

I think a good place to start will be the shortest ratio and then progressively go up in pinion sizes to see what's the fastest lap around your local track. I've done this and quickly found that the final drive that suits me best is 3.92, which I get off using a 28T pinion and 35T spur from the fast gear set. Remember to temp your motor after a few minutes when using larger pinions just so you don't toast it.

This is the process I use when testing at a different track. Remember that the tallest final drive which will give you the fastest straight line speed does not necessarily give you the quickest lap. Keep testing and timing and soon you'll know what works best

Good luck

It should be straightforward really. Scree the tray into the 2 brackets it comes with and then tape the battery down. I don't have pictures of it coz I use the aluminum battery mounts. It's a lot easier than mucking about with battery tape. If all else fails try the top racing Japan website. The instruction manual shows the details on mounting the battery tray. Note however that the battery will have to go in with the terminals towards fhe rear of the car. Good luck

Ah ok. I doubt the work together. I've just got my weights fixed on my batteries. Ps, during races it would be wise to get rid of the mounts and to just run with tape. You'll save near 20g in weight

zep, you're right about the weight tray...how are you guys getting pinions bigger than a 31 on this car ? i have the high speed gear set, using the 33 tooth spur and the motor is all the way back against the motor mount..this car is starting to drive me nuts
