The Losi 22 diff nut setup is designed differently than I think you're imagining.

That is the main reason I wanted to thread the stock 210 diff screw smaller.
I'm going to look for other solutions while still using the Losi holder. I really don't want plastic ears anymore.

If it were me, and I happen to have Kyosho parts, I would try their nut and plastic cage, it's not as deep, but it holds a regular lock nut, so one may have to shim it out a bit before the ears break off..Hope this help a little.. If you found a tap, I would tap the nut, instead of cutting the screw with smaller diameter threads..

Marcus, I had you in my mind as soon as I saw his break. Will your version also work in the rear motor position? I need some of your stuff anyway, pm you later.
Those pics I pulled from OOPLE, I knew those euro guys would have one already.
This will be a must have part unlike some of the bling imo.

What I did bought the losi 22 Differential-Through-Screw-Nut-Set. Went to the hardware store and bought a nut for the Durango diff screw. Ground the nut down and glued it into the nut cap. So far it has worked.

Also, anyone have gearing options for a 6.5?

I bought that same TLR part kit and the plastic nut holder broke the ears off too. I'm barely getting these things tight and just come apart. I was able to get the diff tight enough that I can overpower my slipper and turn the spur gear by hand while holding the diff out-drives solid, so hopefully this should be tight enough. This also means I have no ability to tighten it after running the car, so it's just going to have to work until someone gets diff parts instock. Will have to order a complete rebuild kit as this diff will probably never come apart.
