The screw is a normal 3x10mm countersunk. These are the flanges

I find keeping a few in the pitbox always useful

anyone got the tamiya part #s for a spool for a 415msxx (not mre), I believe I will be needing a fixed layshaft too but im still in the process of building it up (kit comes with a 1 way).
Is there any slim chance the tamiya ta05 centre shaft and spool will fit? Doubt it, but you never know lol.

Have a review of the Tamiya USA site, that will have the manual(PDF) and then you will be able to find the part
I have the manual that comes with the car, but as it comes as standard with the one way I dont think it lists the option parts, but thanks I will have a look and see what I can find

The best thing to do is get the parts from the MRE kit. So the spool and central unit. Parts required are;
TAM3454395 Direct Centre Shaft
TAM51213 16t Pulley
TAM50589 5mm E-Ring
(this kinda shows it 18t pulley tip)
TAM3454401 Direct Holder (Front spool)
TAM9804268 Direct cup (delrin drive cup for spool)
TAM9804267 Direct couplnig (Aluminium sleave)
Otherwise, have a look for the JAAD spool. Has steel outdrives as standard, and works very well. Jaad 415 products

Yeah we found the JAAD spool after you mentioned it. Looks really good but Have to find somewhere to get it from! Found it on PrecisionRC but you can't order it! Something wrong with the site so we can't fill in the boxes... Anyone know another site that sells these spools?

It helps having hard copies of all the manuals on my home PC.. always easy to pick off the part #'s quickly.
http://www.tamiya.com/japan/download/rc_index.htm and click on the second link down on the left hand side
Nice one, I will download that at home
Ed this isn't the spool but the centre shaft... And it will fit the car, BUT you'll have to take the whole rear assembly to remove or put it, so I wouldn't recommend it at all.
