Well, we really don't recommend trying to shorten those wires on your own...

But I have seen people cut sections out of the middle and solder/shrink wrap them to get them to the length they want.

Most people have been running their sintered 13.5's around 4.5-5.0

Steve I own a Novak GTX and was at the track the other day and I came to a complete stop to check some thing and when I was done I pulled the throttle and it wouldnt move and eve the stering didnt work. So I pulled it off the track and every thing was fine no wires undone or bars unsoledered then I flip the swich off then on and a small pop and a little smoke came from the negative end of the curicut board and it worked fine I took it out that night and put all new wire on it and nothing was touching that shouldnt have. Nothing else happend and it still words fine but I herd that one of the fets could have blown out. I was wondering what could have happened.

Yeah, something definately could have let go, if not a transistor than an internal schottky diode.

Are you running an external schottky on the motor and is your power cap in good condition?

Hello, my gtb has started having issues. When I hit the accelerator (trigger) it stutters quite a lot. Sometimes it doesn't go full speed either. I referenced the troubleshooting section of the manual, which the suggestion is wiring, or the capacitor. The wiring is good, however how do I tell if a cap is bad. It looks fine, no burnt smell, is intact. And it has only had a 13.5 on it for the last couple of months.

STEVE,

QQ is Novak likely to be packaging the GTB 1711 and 13.5SS motor any time in the future. Considering a purchase in the near future but dont want to jump if something is in the works.

Thanks
