I am running that ESC with a Orion 10.5 motor, fantastic combination and LIGHT!

The base of unit is not as tall. It also has an OPTIONAL heat sink which you do not need if you are running a 10.5 or lower motor. Anything quicker than that, I would install the optional included heat sink.

The whole thing is about half the weight, much nicer.

I don't think it is a rumor for they don't have any paid drivers anymore. Any further developement on the car will come from the non paid drivers if anything comes out of it at all. Horizon is just killing things at Losi.

ya spend alot of cash to develope a car then drop the whole deal.....

i just got my one way, and was wondering why the it was so goofy....why the short bones, and not the same dimentions as the diff.......

i have been a losi guy since the late 80's and i am starting to look else where....i love my 8, my cr buggy is good and i havent driven my type r.....it is the lack of developement in the elecetric that scares me a bit.

You never know. We might be getting replacement/update parts packaged by Kyosho.

All that oneway is was the one from the original car with the bearings flipped. They probably knew already they were doing no more developement and just took an easy way out on the one way. I just built up a new short set of LCD's for the one so it is a fairly easy swap.

Personally I refuse to use the one way after seeing factory tam drivers with a prototype that was not the same as the original in the JRXS but a well built one way with the long lcds' used and no change in the geometry of the car. My only beef is if you have the technology and the blueprint why not at least send it into production?

Are you guys saying its not even worth it to buy a Losi Type R anymore? I was planning to buy one later on this year closer to the summer. If they are going to dump it then I might as well spend more for the Xray or Mi3 or even Tamiya 415
