This is a lightweight spool. It won't last as long as the Kyosho part, but weighs significantly less.

Just to add to that tip, Losi makes grease, I don't know the part # but it was known as "brown grease", extremely sticky stuff that won't fling off like black grease will, basically just apply a little and forget about it.

I do it mainly just for a better finish on the CF edges, you'll want to sand the edges with something around a 300 grit sandpaper to get them smooth, then soak a Q-Tip in some thin Zap glue (pink bottle) and run the Q-Tip along the edges of the CF. One pass will give the best finish, if you keep going over an area the glue will build up there and look crappy.

Hi Mate,

The stock setup worked well with 40s allround and the locked front diff.

BUT, as you probably know, the track is currently being re-surfaced, and there are some minor changes to it, so next club day in 2 weeks is new to everyone!

Michael.

Default 301

does any one here go to 301 raceway? ... it seams that like there is 0 support for the vone at 301. looks to me like every one runs mugen. i'm new to racing but the few times i went last year i liked it. so if some one goes to 301, whats your set up?

here is mine

front... 600 shock oil,1m caster, 2 toe out, #10 ankerman arm, spool

back... 600 shock oil,1 shock position, A upper arm height, 50k diff oil,2 toe in

every thing else is stock, is there any thing i need to adjust?

Go with the base setup in your instruction book, then adjust from there just little at a time, you should be fine....

when you put the spur gears on are they suppose to spin freely (newly built rrr evo2 kit) ? mine seem to be binding...once i loosen the screw that secures the spurs on the right (looking from the rear) 2nd gear spins fine...

if there is no engine installed the second spur should spin free both ways but the first spur should only spin freely in one direction and should activate the one way bearing in the opposite direction engaging your drive train. some times if your 2 speed shaft is not installed properly and the spacing is not correct on ya 2 speed shoe holder, then the collar that spaces the one way bearing and the first gear holder need to be shimmed .if i am understanding ur problem right, i think in your case you need to back off the 2 speed shoe holder on the shaft . see how that goes.

also if you use msn messenger you can get me on [email protected]
cheers
alex
