RE: Shock building
haha, I had/have the same problem. I just said screw it, filled the shocks up with oil, cycle it and let it sit for a bit, then when I'm ready to close the top cap, push the slider in a bit more than half way, then tighten the cap. Yes, it does rebound, but I don't think it's hurting my cars performance. (I might be wrong)

You need to get the newer style bulkheads(the ones with the built in adjusters..cams)Thats the only way to tighten the rear belt that i know of.

I've got a full set of the T1R bulks that are adjustable. PM me if you are interested.
Does anyone have an extra 32 tooth diff gear. I have 2 extra but they are for the spool and oneway. I need the smaller hole one to build a diff.

RE: Shock building
You know I always heard about how the TRF shocks were the nicest ones outhere, but I guess I never really realized how nice and simple they are, until now I may just get another set of TRFs and find a way to put them on my T1, can't be that complicated.

I've seen them used by some drivers, but I can't figure out why they are better than the ones that Xray makes...

Arguably, Tamiya TRF shocks are the best in the business ... smooth, easy to rebuild, and reliable. The factory X-Ray shocks are a little hard to build - it is hard to get all the air out (not impossible, but difficult).
TRF shocks seem to be more consistent - and very easy to get parts for if you need to. Example - if you wear-out the bottom ball-end on an X-Ray shock you may have a hard time finding one - on a Tamiya, pretty easy to get.

I was looking for some help on my fk. The car is very good. I am running on pace at my local track and the car is fast but it almost pivots mid corner. I am running Cyrul's carpet nat setup. I had another driver drive the car and he had the same feeling. It enters the corner and then almost breaks and pivots then finishes the corner. Its not really abrubt but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions?
