If you are desperate to save money you could buy the spool and run that. The basic handling of the 05 is aggressive and the one-way will be too much except when traction is super high. Even then you might rather run the spool. The car feels so planted with the spool.

But the multi-diff, configured as a spool, is a stronger spool than the old alu one, so in the long run you are better off with the multi-diff.

I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times, but.....

Does anyone have a good setup for asphalt with foams?

I have looked at both Mytsn.com and Myrcworld.com, but I can only find setups with rubbers.

If you can please let me know what chassis you are running, I have them all
(XRC, BMI 350, stock). Thanks!

Same problem there, only rubber tire setups (that I could find). Almost everything on that site now is for the '05.

Go to:

http://www.teamxray.com/xforum/xsheets-search.php

Select "foam tires" and do the search. you'll find 10+ setups. All except the one I labelled "FK04..." are for the FK05. Not sure which model your running though.

The problem there is I only get the option for the '05.

Yep. But I'm the only one who bucked the system and put my 04 setup in as an "05" setup and specified it as an 04 setup in the title. I used the notes section to explain a few things that are specific to an 04 setup, such as saddlepack placement. Take a look.

Thanks for the help, but I need a asphalt setup. The first setup looks pretty close to what I am running now.

Default foams on asphalt?

You don't see any setups for foams on asphalt cause you don't run foams on asphalt for 1/10 tc. It's bad enough they run it, (only in North America), on carpet.

Well the 2 clubs around here BOTH race 1/10th tc on foams, if there are enough we will run rubber, but it is both expensive and slow to do that.

Anywhooo....if someone actually has a setup that they want to share please PM me

Most everyones experience is, foams are more expensive to run competively than rubber, unless you have a foam sponsorship.
