Yup I use that one...but the Losi rod ends don't have a cup...they are more of a ring like a captured rod end.

Just kinda came out of my Snowbirds induced coma(I'm sure you have seen the pictures). Anyways for the first time out with the car ever I almost made the show. I would of if I wouldn't of had HP issues all weekend in 12th scale. My car was good and I drove it pretty good but just needed a little more rip, probably was a combo of gearing and a speedo/timing choice kinda thing.

Wanted to thank Jason for giving me the opportunity to run the car and I'm sure I will do better next time I learned a lot about 12th scale last weekend, including the car.

I'm ready to try again at the nats for sure. Can't wait actually.

Looks nice there Impulse...love the paint scheme. How you liking that Redline? I'm thinking about getting a 13.5 one.

Thanks. I am lovin' my RS Pro/Redline 10.5 combo. It was so good straight out of the box that I almost didn't bother with the Hotwire. When I did get the Hotwire I had to pull out the barbeque sauce because I cooked the rotor real good. I am on a smallish track and had to drop a lot more teeth than recommended after adding the 189 update. But Tekin was great about getting me a new rotor before the next weekend and at practice it was FAST. REAL FAST.

Yeah I had to drop 5 teeth when I went to 189 at the Birds and considered dropping 1 more just to get a bit more zip out of the corners.

Default steering setup question

hello all.
i am just putting together db12rr and everything went together except for rigging the steering.
(by the way, thank you Adrian for your diff setup treatise, i would have been wasting $$ on carbide balls and never thought to burnish the rings which really helps smooth the action)

anyways, i have tried to use the angled mount to get started and have had troubles with the arms fouling on the inside wheel side's upper hinge pin, or rather the head of the upper hinge pin (the retainer circlip is on fwd end of the hinge)

i tried lowering and raising the servo, and moving fwd with the balls behind the horn but nothing lets the arms have a completely free range of motion. is this necessary? my eyeball can't tell how much steering throw is enough just looking at it.

thanks in advance for any insight or guidance.

You do not need that much steering throw. You will be fine setting it up the way you have it. Take a pic and post it for me when you can so i can see and make sure i am understanding exactly what you are saying.
