That looks bad. I suspected that would be a weak area. Ill order the replacements before racing

Whas it a crash where you expected to break something or a small shunt where you would have expected to get away with it?

Dave Splashet was talking about the FW-05 in Radio Racer Mag this month. He had good things to say about it.
He mentioned the setup he used at the nationals... 3deg camber at the front and 5deg camber at the back
Better stability and lower tyre wear!!

add a stand off on top of the steering ball cap
it will stopped by the arm from going in further
your case is that the steering arm went into it but cannot come out

Just back from the car park!!. I put the 20/51 first and the 25/46 second. the lowest gearing for the conversion. The carpark had zero grip so it wasnt a good test. Its about 200ft long but i didnt have enough room to get into 2nd for more than a brief moment.
I changed from 16% to 25% nitro and the car rockets off off the line!
I will try it at the track nxt week. I suspect the lowest gear is still slightly too tall for our track.
We shall see

I ran yesterday at the track, firstly on 32's and the car was gripless and spun the wheels all to easily, but when I put on the 27's the car came alive and the 21/51 was bang on (i even rear ended a foam shod MTX3 out of the race control hairpin).

Well Dino, how do you like the car before it met the wall?
I have the front conversion kit as well but I have yet to install it because of this reason. The nylon part looks like something will break in a crash. As you know, you've got to finish to win.
By the way, I broke my front bulkhead too the first time out with it. I did not anticipate the car to roll so freely and I did not let off and break in time at the end of the straight.

My setup isn't good ... easy to lose rear grip when I leave the corner ... but it has very good acceleration ... a strange car
Give me more days,I will let you know more

Dino, if you ran at Silverstone, you will need +4 camber in the rear for sure with this chassis. Otherwise the tire will wear like a reverse cone. I ran 2.5 in the front and it wore okay.
