I have no problems getting out of the corners from an almost standstill, in fact I can still rear end an MTX3, and my gearing is:
46t Kawahara front and rear.
22/50 1st gear.
25/45 2nd gear.

My 1st gear is very close to that of a TM-G4, which is currently the track record holder.

I am considering going to the 45t Kawahara gears as I want an even taller 1st gear to prevent the wheelspin problems I'm getting from the power of the JP, and may even go to the 23t pinion.
Then slow&steady will need to be fast&pushy, lol.

I must admit, your car has tremendous punch and acceleration as it is. No doubt this is because of your new JP-FX

I'm going to the track today with my 710 to find a way to out accelerate you. Otherwise you're right, I'll have to be fast&pushy just to keep up with you.

rjl, we managed to convince him. He used foams with touring in the last race. All we had to do was not show up in the foam open class and as he is the chief of the club, he had to do something ... i.e. join the BIG boyz ... with foams!

Real truth is the Rubbers are costing too much, and nowadays don't last much more than foams which are around half the price.

Now if I can get some guys to back my proposal, then just maybe the UK national scene will have a class for Foam Touring, and then I will go totally foam.
After all, ALMS has LMP (Audi) and GT (Corvette) classes running as one with separate championships, so why cant we have a similar format with 'Exposed Motors' (Lola) and 'Enclosed Motors' (Touring).

For once I don't need to shout how good I am, the race report says it for me:

Right ... and now say bye bye to rubber.

By the end of next week I'll have the video of this race up at 3hobby.com.

Judging from this picture, stick radios are the norm. I like that but they don't offer those in 75 band over here otherwise I would have learned to drive with one.

Default front braces

hi all.
these are the front braces i made to stop the Kawaharra front plastic from cracking...it makes a great improvement..
not "one touch" and your out with these.
i made 2 x 1mm and 1 x 2mm....works a treat.
