These tanks must be hit and miss. My NTC3 will only run 3-4 min. in the stock setup, but my buddys will run 8-9 min with a cold plug. I don't think the plug makes that big of a deal.

By adding the nipple to my lid my car went from 3 min. runs to 9+ min runs. It was amazing how much mooving the pressure nipple helped. You don't need screws to seal the ols hole. Most all of you have a soldering iron don't you. It is sealed in a second. Good Luck I hope you have as good of luck as I did.

Hey Z-Man.......

Great idea on the use of the soldering iron!! I plan on picking up two pressure fittings tomorrow and can't wait to see the results. Now if the weather would just cooperate for more than a day at a time I could get some run time on my car

Ok I've got the pressure fitting installed on my tank and have sealed off the old location with my soldering iron. Hopefully, I'll pick up a larger pressure fitting later this week to jb weld to the pipe. Now that I am installing the two pressure fittings what length pressure line do you guys recommend? Should I stick with the stock 10" or so?

I was lucky enough to get a Irrgang bumper for my NTC3. This thing looks like it'll never break. Basically two of his carbon fiber chassis' glued together and cut to the shape of the bumper. I was even told by Mr. Irrgang himself if I break this he'll replace it for free. And the way I drive I'm definitely going to be putting this bumper to the test. He also told me that he might not be selling these bumpers to the general public. So don't be surprised if you can't get one.

First chance to race the NTC3 this past weekend, wow.
Took the engine out of my SNRS4 which ran at 235 + degrees F, and I had to hope I could make it through a 5 minute qualifier, well it ran 218 at the hottest and I had almost half a tank of fuel left. The car would most likely make 8 maybe 9 minutes on a single tank.
Very impressive car and a lot can be said for how free the drive train is, I think that is what made the biggest difference.
Now if I can only get it to handle the way I want it to.

Hi to all:

I've spent the last weeks on assembling and keeping all the most free of my new ntc3. Now it's time to install all the radio gear on the car and I have a question, since my experience is almost none on touring gas cars.

I have two servos to choose: A KO FET 2000 and a Futaba 9450 servo. The two are pretty much similar on torque specs (the two are >100oz.), but the KO is way faster (0.06 - KO vs 0.09 secs Futaba).

Which servo is better for the steering and which for the gas/brake linkages?

Ya those are nice,I got one on my car a few days ago and are they ever nice.They weigh 7 grams less than stock.

If you already own both of these servos and the torque is very similar, I'd use the faster of the 2 for steering (KO).

I would think you'd want to use the faster of the 2 servos for steering.
