Default Reedy Race 13.5 Setup

Hi All,

Attached is the setup I used on Saturday, when traction was extremely high. Please note, I included references that specify which ball studs were used. Additionally, this works with either a ball or gear differential, depending on how much you enjoy wrenching and your driving style. I'm lazy and ham-fisted so I used a ball diff

Not bad for a "crap" car
Would be curious to see their setups and especially to know whether they used something that doesn't come in the kit.

Did anyone catch the setup Jilles posted on his facebook page? Pretty straight forward with some different bumpsteer settings, which is what they ran at the last ETS per some pics.

Wouldn't surprise me to see a new lower deck at some point as well.

Pretty sure it's a given, they (Marc, Viktor, & Jillies) were running new chassis's and have been for over a month now. Ever since MarcR smile returned I think, lol....

From what I have seen and heard the chassis is very similar, maybe the chassis is less stiff? Jill's car looks the same as mine other than he is a better driver

Hey Rod. Where do u measure your droop too? The center line of the pin? Or to the bottom of the a-arm ?

Also can you explain how you get to your 24.7mm measurement?

In my opinion, don't see anything really wrong with the current chassis in Spec racing, so waiting for the 418X is probably only advantageous for Mod class mainly because they are grip limited as opposed to Spec where it's horsepower limited.

I would suggest it would be hard to tell the difference by just looking at them. I do know at TITC this year different members of the team tried Raceberry, Smokem, and Samix chassis's. With so many aftermarket companies producing softer chassis then kit it would be hardly surprising to now see Tamiya produce their own softer version.

I guessing... but with those measurements he probably used the David Jun method of droop (from axle to ground/setup board).

That's correct...measured from top of the axle to the setup board. Here's a link that explains this technique:

I wouldn't. The car is good enough in the right hands to win anywhere.

We are talking about guys chasing the last 1%, the best drivers in the world.

There are plenty of other stuff we would all not be doing as well as they are!

If/when the X comes (it will) it will be deck changes and possibly different suspension blocks at most. Easy upgrades.

I would expect that after the worlds we will either see an X or a Worlds Edition, pending if they win or not!
