Xray NT1

And you have to also factor in that serpent just introduced a new model. If you read the ad on Radio Control Zone, it says while supplies last. If they had plans of keeping this model, there would be no limit to the supply of these hop ups....

knowing Xrays history with electric cars etc, i wouldn't be suprised if we see an evolution of the NT1 with smaller diffs which would acommodate lower C of G and maybe a fw other small changes. it will probably be a change that can be upgraded from the current platform. the car as is is great, but there is always room for improvement in any design.

Right!!! I was talking to you about selling my nt1 since I need parts for it (front and rear diffs, clutch parts and a few other items) then I started looking into upgrading it to the 09' version all that would cost about $300 I checked that website you told me about Nexusracing.com (thanks) I figured I'm better off buying the new EC version and get all the upgrades...
When I first got into 10th scale onroad racing the S brand caught my attention I didn't even know Xray existed... Then my bro bought a used NT1 which is mine now. I was amazed by the desing, manuals, setup book, support... the whole thing!!! The only thing that kept me away from it was the part prices and availability (since I didn't know where to buy from) The new kit is supposed to arrive until the first week of October which might not be enough time to try it out... but we'll see what the weather holds for us. Maybe I can catch you now
Are you racing this weekend at the midwest race?

I just finished building the 09 kit and found a few differences between the 08that i thought i would post my findings. Apart from the obvious differences in the kits that xray have mentioned i found the following:
1. Pillow balls are made of a different steel (not the brown hudy spring steel)
2. No turnbuckle tool included
3. Clutch bell has three holes instead of the original one hole bell (for pinion install/removal)
4. Chassis has a hole in it directly under the clutch bell for quick and easy clutch spring tensioning
5. No large o-rings for the plastic shocks, just the four little o rings so i had to use the alluminium ones
Anyone else notice these differences?
