Yes, running the EX-10, for now, I won't run a lipo Pack.....Takes the weight out of the car where it is most needed, only to have to put a heavy battery tray in its place..... I don't get it. I run a 1500 NimH pack and I only charge the car 1 time for each race day. If I had a lipo pack, I would be putting my receiver right next to it.

I currently bought a Lipo which allows me to lower the tank by 4mm, and i can fit my transponder under the tank aswell.
When the car is completely finished i will weigh and balance the car and make a brass battery tray to get the car in legal weight.

I would not mount my transponder under the tank. You might have trouble picking up the scoring loop. I mount mine as forward as possible on the chassis in open site.

I will make a 5mm hole exactly where the 'transmitter' of the transponder is, and it's about as far forward as when you mount it on the stock mounting place, only now it's central and at the lowest point of the car.
I'm not worried about any issues.

I don't think the weight of your transponder will make much difference. I mount mine on the front bumper between the front body post. Whatever floats your boat.

Pass you soon...

Default Ko Propo EX-1 UR

Hey,

Get the EX-1 UR 2.4 ghz, all the functions essential for advanced adjustments, but a lot cheaper than EX10

Amain has it a very comp. price: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/27018

Would you mind sharing a picture of your wiring? I am worried the transponder wire might get caught with the moving parts...

well my reasoning isn't weight, its actually for the servo's. with the new ko servo's and rx you can run lipo direct. if you saw nigel's servos and response you would know why.. you turn the wheel and release it and as the steering wheel bounces, the servos jitter with it. my M11 and regular servos wouldnt pick up on the movement after it recentered. I just think its kinda cool i guess, not a LOT to be gained by it.
