Yokomo MR-4TC SD

OH, I forgot to mention on my setup... I don't run the Center Brace. And I have added 21g to make mine "Roar" legal.
As for Evo3 vs. SD... it's all politics. Pick one that you like and go for it. I currently run the SD. I have owned and raced an Evo3. It was a nice car. I just had way too much trouble with the oneway gear giving out in Mod. Even with a backing plate on the gear. My friend had that problem too (he bought my car.) So he switched to TC3. You could get the Surikarn Edition. It's a tad stronger. But I've seen Jun's and Fernando's car eat up some gears at the Nats last month. SD's weakness seems to be the front axles. Well for me at least.
Oh and for alittle humor... what car is Fernando looking at??

its tough to pick... i had a tc3 b4, but did not take it seriously, now i wanna start racing, so i need a car which is easier to drive and is durable

Evo 3 or SD, you can't go wrong either way. Some call the SD brokomo, but the Evo has its share of one way gear problem as well. All cars break! Some may be easier than others but all of them break, PERIOD!!! The question is...how easy is it for you to get spare parts for a specific car. Online or local, then that should be one of your deciding factors too. Just my .02.

Despite what everyone says, the SD is a durable car, I put mine through hell on my return to racing from a 2 year break, and yes it did break parts, but any car would have in the crashes I had. The Surikarn edition is definately an awesome car, I am thinking of getting one, but for the price, the SD has it beat.

Please tell me those are your friends cars in the pic of 4... I've seen people with spare cars, but 4 would just be madness!
And in reply to a previous post, AE shock shafts won't fit in the Yokomo shocks, AE are 1/8", Yokomo are 3mm (slightly smaller).

Hi guys. Greetings from Malta.
SOSIDGE.
You beat me to it - about shock shaft size I mean.
However if the reader that asked wishes to fit longer shock shafts on the Yoke shock bodies, then HPI shafts will fit.
I ran a few more packs yesterday but no matter what I do i just can't make myself comfortable with the locked front. The SD handled like a dream before, and now it handles like a pig.
I have just put the normal diff back on and will go down and try again this evening. I have lap times so I can compare, and i even compare it with the belt drive car and the BD car is quicker at present, both with identical 12 x 2 motors.
Perhaps it's something to do with my driving style. Perhaps I'm missing something.
Will keep you informed.
regards
Joe from sunny Malta.
