That does look pretty trick ... Martyn, where were you looking at getting yours done? I have not been able to find anything locally yet -

Haven't looked into it yet Martin, just an idea I was kicking around. I don't think it should be too tough to find someone able to do it... Though looking at how much dr was quoted.... ouch I won't be doing it at that price.

Martin,

Put the words: anodizing Toronto into Google, I found a few places right away.

I am not going to contact them just yet, but perhaps the next time I tear my car down I shall pay a visit to

Try looking into your local custom jewelry makers or motorcycle shops. A guy posted some good info about anodizing in the T1 thread.

I am thinking about putting a screw in the bumber top plate and screwing 20g of chassis weights into it upside down so they sit inside a hole cut out in the bumber, and 10g on each side in the rear just to get some weight on the car. How does that sound?
i tried that with my old xray. when you do that the car tranfers too much wieght to the front and it will loop off power.

Just curious cause when I added weight I added more on the battery-side then I did on the electronics side to try to balance the car out (I run 3300 packs).
If the electronics side is heavier then it is. The quarters came off right after the race anyway. I just did that to make weight plus two other '05s that made the "A" main (Greg and Komkit) put their weight in the same corner. My car was fine as I felt no weight differential while driving. Ignore the results of the Losi. If Craig had any car he would have been dialed anyway.

Where did you have yours done? Cost? I was quoted $125 to get mine done. A bit pricy...but if it turns out half as good as yours...it's worth it!

McNichols Aluminum plating and Anodizing. It is 5 minutes from my house.

$90 and 3 FK05's will fit on the tray for that price.

It normally is $80, but they had to separate the different types of aluminum and do them separately.

Just got my FK05. Any tips on how to built it right? Aside from greasing the diff balls and thrust bearings.
