Hahahaha!! That's so funny, and happens to me all too often. when I don't need it, I know right where it is - when I'm looking for it, it's gone!
I can't wait to put that thing on there! Just the cool factor is going to shave a few 1/10's off my lap times, can - not - wait.

I'm a little more than halfway through my build and I have to say VBC has listened and improved on the plastics. The steering linkage ball cups are slop free and everything else is coming together perfectly. Still need to build the front suspension. I've actually gone back to the VBC center pivot with the PEEK upper cap. Using the PEEK upper cap has taken out any upward movement and has greatly improved the pivot.
Really excited to try this out on the track

Have been way busier than I wanted to be this weekend, but finally had a chance to switch the FX over to the new aluminum chassis and rear pod plate. Thing is sweet. On to the pics.
Nice touch by VBC. This is on top of the main plate
This is on the bottom of the rear pod.
Separated the front and rear from the CF chassis, and transferring over to the aluminum one.
Halfway there. Liking the look!
Only had a little trouble with this, had to press the front end in with a some channel locks - it was tight. Went right in though, just used a rag on either side and gently pressed it in.
And done.
Decided to put the new Protoform F1 wings on F/R. Had Tamiya, We'll see how these do - also going to do a Williams Martini body for it. Waiting for the PF Thirteen to come in.
If you're considering the VBC aluminum chassis for the FX, I would say go for it - of course that's on looks alone as I haven't run it yet. But it looks the business.
Now to start saving up for the FXM.

I've been also chatting with Herbert Webber about the center damper. The center damper and spring is a little to hard and makes the car twitchy. We suggest going to a softer spring such as Xray 2.2 long, Tamiya Pro Mod springs, and even Yokomo black these springs are in the 6.5~12.4 lb/in range. The VBC Green and Red is much higher.

I took the VBC FXM out for it's first run on rubber tires using a 21.5 motor (never raced rubber F1). The car worked well for it's first outing and it was quite durable too. I had a few solid board taps and rollovers and the car came up unscathed.
I'll do a video to describe on the setup I used and overall thoughts about it's handling.
