Default Losi optional rear aluminum hubs

Anyone having binding issues with the aluminum rear hubs? I'm thinking of drilling 1 step larger ? I've had a lot of binding issues out back . I have drilled the inner arms larger already . My rear suspension is goin dead more or less lately and never had these issues with the plastic hubs. I believe 8e hade same issues ?

Go for the hobbywing new 540 4 pole in the 4700. My buddy has one and it pulls my pro4 4600 is just as smooth. More toque and runs just as cool. EBay has them for 95 bucks. They rock!

Hi all been running the scte for a couple of weeks now. setup is bce chassis tekin rx8/pro4 4600 14t pinion 5/5/3 diff oils and std shock oils .

im generally happy though it does skip over bumps and has some oversteer coming off corners or when I lift off throttle going into fast corner .

any ideas on how to improve these ? I was looking to get the RCShocks piston upgrade kit any one use them ?

cheers

Muz

Hey Ryan, I see they are expecting the new body in early June. Is this still ontrack or will it be pushed back. I need a new body very bad.

I was using that (5-5-3) on (everything else) stock settings and found that on a medium sized outdoor track with a hard packed surface that it would understeer on power - especially on 180 degree turns or increasing radius turns.

This week I tried upping the centre diff fluid to 7K, and it has made a big difference to me. I didn't lose any off power steering, but gained a lot of on-power steering. If I gas it hard suddenly, the back swings around now. If I'm running wide, I can back it off slightly and it tightens up the turn then reapply the throttle and be back on line.

Thanks to the people who suggested this a couple of tens of pages ago...

I'm running plastic but swapped out my shocks and it was better... I did run the drill through my rear inner hinge pin holes on the a-arms to make sure there was nothing too tight. I think the dirt just compiled enough to slow down the suspension. Better cleaning I guess is the answer

Great motor, you can run a 14t all day every day.. 15t and greater depends on ambiant temps and driving style. Very fast, more than enough power.

Yup. I'm running a 1410 on a med/large track and it does well on everything but one long strait where i wish it had just a tad more. Running a 14 tooth and power-wise its great.
