assuming rrr evo wc.. I had good luck at a hobby town race at night after a rain storm with extremely low traction with whats below but this is a great setup for everything, just move the roll centers and springs around a bit.

Front
light blue springs, 35wt oil (unless its over 90 degrees, then try 40)
sway bar flat
#3 (up) upper roll center insert (lower to lose steering)
#11 ackerman
0 toe-in/out
35 shore Twister tires on the kyosho style wheel, 58mm

Rear
light blue springs, 35wt oil (again unless its over 90 out)
blade bar flat, or 1.4mm bar
#1 (down) lower roll center insert
inside, lowest hole on the camber link (raise up for more rear bite)
2mm shim under the outer camber link
3 to 3.5 degrees of toe-in depending how little bite, more will square your car up on corner exit on power.
37 shore Twister tires on the 2mm offset wheel at 60mm

Other
standard side pulleys, no overdrive
16 and 59 first gears, 61 if you can get enough traction for more acceleration
22 and 56 2nd gears, not really needed if the track is super short but if your motor can pull it loosen your two speed and use it. This is for an IDM engine that can pull a heavy gear, you may have to go with a smaller pinion for 2nd.

I use the sirio clutch which doesn't really have a setting for this because the spring is too hard, but loosen the nut as much as you can for grip, tighten the gap for more grip but always keep endplay around 0.1mm.

Had a few other quick questions.

1. Rear Shock position?
2. Track width front and rear
3. Rear diff oil?
4. Down stop front and rear?

Important things to know, you are truly looking for a proper setup so it's probably best that I explain why some of these things are the way they are.

Rear shock position to me, just changes how stiff the shock feels. I run in the 3rd hole from the outside most of the time. lower can make the spring feel heavier. I always run the front shock on the outside hole.

Track width, I always run 199 rear because every tech box is different especially when you start running 3+ degrees of toe-in. 197 front, you can go to 198 or 199 and it will in simple terms take away steering the wider you go.

Rear diff oil, I usually run on high traction so I had 50,000 in at the time but I could have gone faster using 20,000 or maybe even 10,000. To run thicker oil you just have to be more gentle on the throttle on corner exits but it allows you to put down power when it is possible.

Downstops, I don't have a way of measuring this that would be common to what you use because I adjust them by feel. Usually from ride height, with everything attached the chassis will raise about 2mm front and rear before hitting the stops if you lift it in the middle. Using more droop in general will allow the car to roll more and use the springs and oil to control the speed of the roll instead of abrupt stops which will create more traction until you get over the amount of camber in your car. Your tires may wear flat, but some hard corners may produce positive camber with too much roll so you need them eventually.

I looked at an EVO2 at RCX that was described as too fragile to run and just for show and it really looked like it was just a chassis and top deck. The steering servo was moved slightly and it had 0 degree rear tires. I couldn't tell if the geometry of the rear arms were different, or if they were just using 2mm spacers in the hexes though.

Recent spy pictures of the EVO2 kind of confirm the 0 degree tire deal as well, but again not knowing if it's in the arm or the hex.

I believe Ron Atomic told me that specific car was too fragile because it wasn't built to run, it was just quickly machined for pictures.

I was at the kyosho us sedan championships in florida the week before, and Joel Johnson didn't even have the evo2 but they had it at the booth at RCX. Clearly he would have been testing it at such a large event if it was possible.

This was two months ago though, the car is probably completely different than the one I saw.
