Just picked up a 2nd T1, happy happy joy joy
Sounds like the hole in the ball is wallowed out, and if that is the case it will have to be replaced. Go ahead and replace the rod end while you are at it as well.

There are a few of us still running the T1 platform, Rocky has an FK04, I have an FK05 and a couple of evoII's. Its still a very good car but most have shelved them for more current rides.

Well I'm no expert but at the club level it can still be a competitive car. And if you so desire the T1 can be setup with the batt on one side and electronics on the other just as most new TC's are. As to performance, thats going to depend on the skill level your racing against, if your at some national or world event your going to be at a slight disadvantage. The newer cars have a lower CG and are a touch lighter. The T1 cars are much stronger and able to withstand harder crashes than many newer cars. Just look at the difference in the arms, the T1's are much beefier, but that comes at the expense of slightly more weight. I have allways felt that my T1 cars have allways felt great on the track and see no reason to change, I've owned a T2 and a T2007 both of which I sold. At my level of competition these are good enough.

Yeah , that sounds about right,,,right.
Previous owner put em on the wrong side then, not surprising as he put diffs on
the wrong way round making the layshaft centre one-way go to the rear.
sigh.. looks like I'll get the screwdrivers out, again.

I have a T1R and if you didnt get your answer the C-Hubs have a stamp on the "flat side" with either a L or R.. I like the chassie there just is not enough room for electronics once the saddle pack is mounted. Good enough for VTA

LOL 1101 .... somewhere there is a post/pic on here what I did to mine .. I reversed all the diffs (FK05 front) to run the battery on the right side .. long story but works great.

Nothing erks me more than seeing a mistake made on the T1 cars after they are put back together again .. A few choice words come to mind.

Default wanted fk04 or evo2

Having a hard time finding a T1. I'm looking for an fk04 or EVO 2 pivot ball or C-hub in good shape for carpet racing, rubber and foam. Just sick of these new cars and all of the hype. Going back to my T1 roots; please PM me if anyone has anything to sell. Also, if anyone has a factory spool not a multidiff; please let me know. Thanks
