How much faster are the laps with the 13.5 over the 17.5 car? Thanks

Posted my fastest setup from yesterday.
http://racerlog.com/wiki/T.O.P._Photon_EX#Setups

Yesterday I think I really learned the impact that rear width makes, above and beyond rear toe. When I went from RF 1.0/RR 3.0 to RF 0.5/RR 2.0 the car really woke up, more than any wheelbase change. Additionally when I went to RF 0.0/RR 2.0 the car was as loose, or even looser although I had more rear toe. I think I'm going to run RF 0.5/RR 2.5 to start next week along w/ a longer rear wheelbase.

A friend of mine has issues with the shock's spring adgusting nut. It has big play and after a run it changes position!! He tried to force it with hand with same effect. That is the case with 2 of his shocks!

Any ideas what might be the problem?

Have to ask, does he have the oring installed correctly into the collar? (I assume this is what you mean by the shock spring adjusting nut).

you can try with thread lock...small amount...
--------
Saturday First Run with EX, isn't good day...the car is faster, but very difficult to drive, rear slips in medium corner...totally wrong ackerman, std setup isn't usable, next time new setup completely revised!
I have good feeling with Gear Diff no problem, only small leak from lateral o-ring

unfortunately I haven't V2 steering blocks, in italy we haven't yet!
planning to try a setup more similar to "old" Photon: 3mm ackerman, long links front and rear, front arms with 1FF 0FR, 1mm rollcentre RF RR, gear diff 2000 cps
