Hanulec,

Why did you dremel the steering rack? When I'm at full lock (that's not what the setting is in the transmitter) the point you removed still not touches the arm of the rack?

Regards Robert

In my car - running kimbrough mid servo saver, xray c-hubs and top aluminum v2 blocks I could not get the car to have equal throw on each side. The closest was 16 degree and 15.75 degree (measured using hudy setup station). By shaving a little material I can make each direction equal.

The steering blocks are barely touching the c-hub. I don't think I can put anymore physical throw in the car.

Got my new Ex this week, and and just put it all together.
Was hoping to go for its maiden voyage tomorrow but i dont think ill be well enough yet

Couple of things Ive noticed during the build.
The new spur gear layshaft is not a bad idea, but has anyone noticed that they never made the topdeck opening wide enough to allow removal of spur without removing the topdeck?? 18mm opening with a 21mm shaft. If the opening was wider it would make things alot easier.

Built the gear diff in the morning and by the afternoon it had leaked a heap of fluid out and i havnt even ran the car yet. Not sure if i did something wrong with it but ill have to have a better look later for now ive got the trusty yoko gear diff in there

roll centre changes looks like it will be alot more time consuming with all the shims

front arm spacings

I would have prefered steel cv shafts supplied upfront with a spool. but luckily I had a set from the old photon.

Us lots of Associated Green slim on the out-drives and o-rings with some around the screws. This should help prevent so excessive leakage. Mine currently leaks around the out-drives but very little.

I think the gear diff definitely needs some attention from TOP.

If you want to add a setup to the link on top, an email address is indicated on low right part of the setup sheet.
Feel free for comments.

HTH
The setup sheet was updated with several fields.
Thanks to Robert for some input.

I had one on reserve since about 6 weeks ago, it sounds like a shipment came in and I missed out or something.

The first shipment was smaller than expected. I don't know how many kits were ordered or received but I know they had to break alot of hearts. I ordered mine in November and got one of the first shipped. The second batch is expected this week or next. Hopefully all preorders will be filled. TOP japan determines how many kits are shipped to each country regardless of the number of kits requested. Not ideal for TOP USA but that's the way it is. Hope you guys get them soon. The car is really nice.

Yesterday we nearly had a rain out but thankfully got a lot of running in under the lights at Jackson RC. My car is coming around in 13.5 blinky. Next week I'll race 17.5 blinky with both my Photon and EX back to back in hopes of proving how good my current setup is.
