How is everyone mounting their batteries ? I absolutely can't stand the thought of tape as it has let me down before. However the velcoro set up i have on the old Photon works perfectly,it wont fit on the new ex. I manged to work a velcro strap on the ex battery hold down, but i am not at all happy with it. Any detailed pics of their setup ?

Gear diff has been on RCMarket a couple of weeks now...

I miss the velcro strap, was hoping for an update in there somewhere for a neat fitment, but the TOP Japan site just came up with a hack, which seems like a overly rough option compared to the old method, or what can be used on other brands now...

Existing Velcro strap works perfectly with EX and kit graphite battery holders with no modification to the strap...
All you need is some large spacers, a pack of the TOP suspension mount spacers work perfectly.
Thread Velcro through one end all of the way to the loop so that the loop is on the battery side. Secure using the 1mm spacers and mount to the chassis.
Thread the Velcro through the other end but build using some of the large suspension mount spacers. This will give some room so that the Velcro will move when you are inserting / removing the battery.
When you insert the battery you will find that it sits right up against the loop further securing it meaning that the Velcro will never come off.

I got a question regarding the lower shock mounting points. I'm running in 17,5T and was wondering if you guys have any recommendations for the setting to use?
Most of the setups i've seen yet utilize the "2" hole in the front suspension arms. Currently i'm using the more outward "1" hole, like suggested in the kit manual.
I will mostly be running on medium to high speed tracks, mostly wide with long sweepers.
Since i used to run the "2" Hole in the old Photon mostly, i was wondering if that translates to the EX as well.
